Team building 101 – how Oakfusion does it In Oakfusion we care about people. With this in mind, we strive to organize activities designed to build relationships between our employees. We want our colleagues to enjoy spending time with each other and simply stay happy and motivated.

We believe that facetime is especially important now. Seeing tighter bonds between our employees helps them overcome challenges at work too. So, in which activities have we engaged in the last couple of months? Let’s find out.

Team buildings in the past

In May we took part in Bieg Firmowy (Hybrid company relay). Our team was competing against other teams from various companies. What we like about the event is that over 1 million PLN was transferred to 39 children under the care of the Everest Foundation. In Oakfusion we like to help each other but also help others in need.

In June and July, we gathered to watch Euro 2021. We supported Poland and watched how different teams were competing against each other. No matter who was playing, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the relaxed, football atmosphere together.

To do something good for those in need, we organized a charity fundraiser. To interest our employees to take part in it, we organized an internal competition on betting who’s winning in Euro 2021 matches and what’s the score. One of our colleagues managed to guess the results in six matches without errors. He also guessed the winner in 20 matches!

Our last team building – cycling excursion During the last team building, we ventured out to attend FRRuuu - Firmowy Rajd Rowerowy (Company’s Cycling Excursion) that took place on the 18th of September 2021. We wanted to:

Spend time together outside of the working environment

Get some fresh air and move our bodies

Have fun and challenge each other

As you can imagine, we fulfilled the agenda 100%. Our team was divided into 4-people groups that were challenged in a location-based bike game.

Our employees had to complete more than 10 biking tasks along the way. With the app installed beforehand, they could collect points for every task they successfully did. The company that collected the most points won.

As you suppose, our teams were eager to compete against other teams and the competition during the excursion was fierce. We enjoyed the excursion very much and we invite everyone to join us next time. We want to spend some time together and engage in relaxing activities.

Plans for the future

The running competition, Euro 2021 and bike ride challenge were just the beginning. As we enjoyed the time together we also organized mountain hikes – just to make the most out of the sunny, warm weather. As you see we not only reach tech goals but mountain peaks too.

Why do we do all this?

One of our values is belonging and, as people are our biggest value, we want them to feel fresh, fulfilled and enjoy the time in the company. No matter what’s the role and seniority level – we treat everyone here with respect and we’re an equal opportunity environment.
